Thai Seaplane Signs MoU with Kasetsart University to Advance Sustainable Aviation

March 11, 2025 – Thai Seaplane Co., Ltd. has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Faculty of Environment at Kasetsart University, setting the stage for a forward-thinking partnership focused on sustainable aviation and environmental stewardship.

The agreement was signed by Mr. Kasiphot Rodkho, Chief Executive Officer of Thai Seaplane, alongside Associate Professor Dr. Tulwit Stapanajaru, Dean of the Faculty of Environment, and Assistant Professor Dr. Kittichai Duangmarn, Associate Dean for Academic Services. The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) served as a witness to the ceremony, highlighting the importance of this collaboration for the broader aviation industry.

This partnership aims to combine academic research and technological innovation to improve environmental practices within the seaplane sector—while supporting Thailand’s goal of becoming a regional aviation hub. Together, Thai Seaplane and Kasetsart University will explore cleaner, more efficient ways to operate, always with a focus on protecting natural resources and supporting long-term sustainability.

Key areas of collaboration include conducting ecological impact studies, exploring clean energy and alternative fuels for aviation, and developing eco-friendly management strategies for seaplane terminals. The initiative will also promote knowledge-sharing through training programs, seminars, and expert-led workshops—building capacity across the industry and creating a strong network between public, private, and academic sectors.

For Thai Seaplane, this MoU is a meaningful step in integrating sustainability into every aspect of our operations—from flight paths to terminal design. We’re committed to flying smarter, lighter, and more responsibly—ensuring that our journeys not only connect people to incredible destinations but also help protect the beauty of Thailand’s natural landscapes for generations to come.

This collaboration will play a key role in shaping effective policies, raising environmental standards, and supporting eco-tourism and green innovation across the region.
